The three phases

Preparation

Ease off processed food, caffeine, alcohol, and sugar for several days first. Never start a long fast cold.

The fast

Water only, with full rest. Length is individual — short therapeutic fasts under guidance, longer fasts only with professional supervision.

Refeeding

The most important phase. Reintroduce whole food slowly — refeeding too fast can be dangerous. This is where lasting change is locked in.

Fast safely. Extended water fasting is powerful and is not for everyone. If you are pregnant, underweight, diabetic, or taking medication, do not begin a fast without professional supervision. Always work with a qualified healthcare provider before changing medication or starting any fast.
